A man standing on the outside of his own life suffers the effects of PTSD, as he attempts to reconnect with his wife.
Parker struggles to reconnect with his wife after returning home from a tour of duty. On the surface, he’s doing everything right; he cooks and cleans, goes to therapy, and even finds solitude in making puzzles, but just beneath it’s clear he suffers from PTSD and a mounting isolation that engulfs his world. As he holds onto a fleeting memory of what his life once was, he must ultimately meet his trauma, and make a choice between total escape and perseverance.

Un documental que recoge la vida del creador del último circo criollo de la Argentina. Papelito, tal el nombre con el que se conoce desde siempre a Carlos Brighenti, levantó el circo en una carpa que zurció con bolsas de arpillera. Reunió unas pocas sillas y, junto a un puñado de artistas, montó uno de los más queridos y recordados escenarios picarescos que hizo parte de la vida social y cultural de ciudades y pueblos de la provincia de Buenos Aires. A bordo de su auto, el artista aún recorre clubes de barrios, peñas, salones sociales y festejos populares. Papelito cuenta la vida de un hombre, la historia de un circo, la memoria de un arte que se extingue.

Director Mark Schlichter was born the 15th december 1962 in Münster, Germany. Before he started his directing studies at the German Film Academy Berlin (DFFB), he attended drama school and worked as an actor in theatre and film productions. Parallel to his studies at the Film Academy, he did work both as floor and production manager for various film and TV productions (e.g. production manager for J.L. Godard’s ALLEMAGNE NEUF ZERO). For his first length feature film EX, he received the Director’s Award of the Hypo-Bank in 1995 at the Film Festival Munich as well as the Special Award of the German Academy of Performing Arts for exceptional first work in 1996. His short films “FELIX”, “Spieglein, Spieglein” and “Amok” have been presented on film festivals around the world like the Chicago Int. Film Festival and Toyko Student Film Festival. This was followed by numerous TV- and cinema productions, in which he partly contributed as a scriptwriter. Mark Schlichter lives in Berlin.

This music video was inspired by a poem called "The Truth" that I wrote some years ago:
"I long to know her face, to touch her hand,
They say she's ugly for she hides and wears all black.
Maestro God as you conduct this piece -
the rapture of which heals and kills -
Do you see her?
Is The Truth worth one child's tears?"
The music is my own composition using digital musical instruments and blending elements of classical style and world music. Most of the footage was filmed from the top of the Montaña del Mojón volcano on the island of La Graciosa and in Germany and UK. The work explores Dostoevsky's question of whether any higher harmony or truth is worth the tears of one child. The truth cannot be known therefore the woman in black hides her face, perhaps ashamed of her ugliness - for human cruelty knows no bounds. God conducts the music and the child, ever hopeful, looks for answers as she encounters the beauty of the world and its destruction.
"An Epilogue" differs from the traditional music video genre for it has no lyrics but still has a sketch story, which leaves ample space for subjective interpretations.
"An Epilogue" is my most recent work and follows my "Music for 2 Pianos and Tape Recorder" which has won several awards.

Tijuana’s reputation is that of a dangerous border-town with one of the highest murder rates in the world. Obviously the ideal setting for a movie based on “Candide”, a book written by French philosopher Voltaire. After all, during the course of the story, the protagonist Candide is cast out, beaten, robbed, starved, sentenced to death, deported, abducted, enslaved and - more than once - almost killed. Paying tribute to that topos, the essayistic documentary “Candido” observes the daily challenges of five inhabitants of Tijuana’s most dangerous and violence-ridden district, Camino Verde. They talk about life under difficult circumstances, being cheap labour force and the unlikely optimism that is needed to transform a desert into a growing garden. The dichotomy that the existence of every winner also demands a loser shapes our society. It puts you on one side or the other. “Candido” is a film about the people who find themselves on the wrong side but still refuse to be the victims of their own life story.

This short film shows some critical stages of gender-based violence within a relationship for the purpose of promoting the importance of detecting early warning signs and taking action.

Illegal wrapped up a successful Kickstarter campaign on April 3rd, 2020 which raised over $40,000 for the production of the film. As of April 2020, the film has been selected to over a dozen festivals including Beverly Hills International Film Festival, Ashland Independent Film Festival, and Richmond International Film Festival.

“Los Deseados” nos cuenta una serie de sucesos que acontecen en un pequeño pueblo aislado entre montañas tras una guerra que asola el país.
En este contexto aparecen los Deseados, un grupo de personas que constituye una suerte de secta pseudoreligiosa de corte paramilitar, con una rígida jerarquía muy autoritaria. Mediante mentiras y engaños han conseguido manipular, subyugar y controlar a los habitantes del pueblo, aprovechándose de la debilidad y desesperanza que sufre la población debido a todo el dolor que han experimentado en la guerra.
La sede de la secta es un recinto concebido y organizado de forma similar a un centro penitenciario, donde residen unos internos que están recluidos hasta que se conviertan a la religión que los Deseados promulgan, la religión Gloria.

Este cortometraje, que cuenta con la actuación especial de Ulises Manrique Zapata, aborda el movimiento dirigido por el Caudillo del Sur y El Plan de Ayala, promulgado por el Gral. Emiliano Zapata Salazar y Otilio Montaño Sánchez, escrito que desconoce el gobierno de Francisco I. Madero por no apoyar a los campesinos, tras haber sido despojados de sus tierras por los hacendados. El documento fue proclamado en Ayala, Morelos y firmado el 28 de noviembre de 1911 en Ayoxuxtla de Zapata en la sierra de Puebla.
Con el lema “Justicia y Ley”, El Plan de Ayala tuvo como premisa fundamental la reivindicación de los derechos de los pueblos sobre las tierras, las aguas y los montes, derechos que durante siglos de colonización y explotación les fueron quebrantados.
